Hola Amigos, I’ve dedicated the last 20 years of my life helping people “Take the Leap” in one way or another—escaping toxic jobs and lives, navigating political changes that made their home situations quite loco, and relocating to Costa Rica or other countries. I’ve supported people in transitioning into a level of freedom they’ve dreamed of, turning vision boards into reality. Together, we create clear strategies that reflect their unique priorities and goals, ensuring a smoother transition into Life 2.0. Whether the dream is peace and relaxation or adventure, travel, and connection with new friends and community, I’m here to help make it happen.
What’s Next? Life 2.0!
More people are exploring multi-location lifestyles, owning properties in Costa Rica, Europe, or Mexico, and building networks of homes and communities. They dream of adventure, connection, and spa-like havens that inspire. My focus has shifted toward creating spaces for human evolution rather than just "retreats"—places to pause, heal, and reignite your life. I often guide clients away from over-ambitious projects that can drain resources and happiness. As someone who’s been there, I know how to help you achieve your dreams without sacrificing your sanity. I’ve had my own help via Leap Forward and it’s founder Ronit Herzfeld to do this in my own life, and I always want to pay this forward with the clients and friends I end up working with.
Here's What I Want to Share This Week:
Relocation doesn’t necessarily mean buying land and immediately making a move. It’s often a multi-year process, particularly for families or high-net-worth individuals. It involves figuring out what you want, where you want it, and how to strategize the entire transition. I’ve worked with clients ranging from billionaires to blue-collar families, helping them achieve their dreams. Interestingly, those with less often have an easier path, while wealthier clients face complex challenges—business entanglements, relationships, and more. My role? Helping people scale down their busyness and scale up their lives to focus on what truly matters.
Often, this process involves life coaching—sitting down to clarify plans and priorities. How much do you want to travel? How often will you spend time in Costa Rica or elsewhere? What’s most important: family, fun, love, adventure? Together, we strategize, create a vision, and plan. We map out your life: current work commitments, desired work-life balance, savings, net worth, income streams, and future plans. Then, we assemble the right team—realtors, accountants, lawyers, architects, builders, and more—to bring your vision to life.
From Idea to Reality…
Before diving into property searches, we establish strict criteria: budget, location, and lifestyle fit. Costa Rica’s regions vary widely. Some areas are oversaturated with expats and inflated prices, while others maintain a harmonious balance between locals and newcomers. Integration, not colonization, is our goal. Costa Rica isn’t Tulum, and we aim to keep it that way—a haven for nature lovers, wellness seekers, and community builders.Using my network, I help clients find authentic opportunities, often directly from locals, avoiding inflated "gringo prices." It’s all about finding the right region, the perfect property, and the ideal plan for moving forward.
Once the land is secured, the real work begins. We conduct engineering and legal due diligence, craft thoughtful designs and master plans, and assemble the best team possible. Whether building a home or a larger project like an eco-village or retreat center, every detail must align with your goals, nature, and the local context. This alignment includes building a team you can trust, as you’ll spend years collaborating. If the vibe is off, the project is off. And remember: “Lo barato sale caro”—cheap shortcuts often cost more in the long run. Meticulous planning is essential.
Beyond Construction…
Our role doesn’t end when construction is complete. We help establish management solutions to ensure your new lifestyle remains sustainable and enjoyable. Living in the jungle or abroad comes with its own set of challenges, but with the right systems and support in place, you can maintain your sanity while embracing your dream life.
Places: My Trip to the Peruvian Amazon
I took an inspiring trip to Peru to support a new friend and client Elio and his business Aya Healing Retreats. Thank’s to visionary Cat Wallace, AI Specialist, former shark on Shark Tank AU, Investor/VC, and overall badass warrior woman, we got to support this business and the retreat center to thrive into its next evolution.
